A Door Opened

Well, it looks like that door that shut led me to a better door I couldn't even imagine.  I found out Friday that the Neupogen I need is going to be covered by my insurance after all.  I spent the whole weekend with my stomach in knots thinking that it was too good to be true and that I should expect to get bad news when I picked up my prescription today, but it was completely the opposite!  My dosage is only half a vial, so my doctor was going to have me draw up the whole vial into 1 syringe and inject half over two days (using new needles, of course).  However, the pharmacist called and asked my doctor if I could get a vial for each injection, and she agreed.  I thought for sure my insurance would say no, but they allowed it!  I will be starting the injections this Saturday, and I finally feel hopeful again.  I don't know that this will work, but I feel like finally one hurdle has been removed, and it gives me the push I need to keep hoping and trying.  I am so incredibly relieved and grateful for the chance to try this treatment.  I did a little dance for God earlier (my husband told me that God probably wouldn't be impressed by my ghetto/rain dance style) out of excitement. I never thought I'd be so excited for daily injections!  Time to whip this immune system into shape!
